Overview
Built in 1163 AD by Rudra Deva, it is a testament to the glorious Kakatiya dynasty.
History
Partially destroyed during the Tughlaq dynasty invasion in the 14th century, it was later restored. It is part of the UNESCO World Heritage tentative list.
Architecture
Features Trikutalayam (three shrines) dedicated to Shiva, Vishnu, and Surya. The pillars are so tightly placed they form a mesmerizing optical illusion.
Spiritual Significance
One of the most important heritage sites in Telangana, highlighting Kakatiya art.
